GLAO Seeks Candidates for Delegates

The AAO House of Delegates is the ultimate governing body of the AAO and meets every year at the AAO annual session. Members of the Great Lakes Association of Orthodontists serve as our representatives to the AAO House of Delegates. Delegates and Alternate Delegates are elected annually by the GLAO membership.

The GLAO Nominating Committee is seeking interested and qualified candidates to serve at the 2012 AAO House of Delegates, to be on the 2011 ballot. The Nominating Committee’s slate of candidates for the 2011 ballot will be proposed at the 2010 GLAO Annual Business meeting, 2:30-3:30pm on Friday, October 1, 2010 at The Breakers in Palm Beach, Florida. At that time, additional candidates may be nominated from the floor. Nominations will then be closed for the 2011 ballot.

Please review the current GLAO Bylaws and Proposed GLAO Bylaws Amendments below!

Members will have an opportunity to discuss or testify regarded these proposed Bylaws amendments at the GLAO Annual Session General Business Meeting, Friday, October 1, 2010, 2:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m. at the Breakers in Palm Beach, Florida. A vote on these proposed Bylaws amendments will take place at that time. Note: "BYLAWS may be amended at any session of the General Assembly by a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the legal votes cast."
The GLAO Board of Directors will provide relevant and up-to-date information regarding issues important to GLAO and the AAO at this Business Meeting. We hope you will make every effort to attend!
