2016 GLAO AWARD RECIPENTS
2016 GLAO Dr. David C. Hamilton Distinguished Service Award to be presented to Dr. Thomas L. Ahman
The GLAO Dr. David C. Hamilton Distinguished Service Award is presented to individuals who have dedicated themselves to serving the interests of the GLAO throughout their careers. Their contributions exceed the commitments and duties of any elected or appointed office in the association. The Great Lakes Association of Orthodontists is proud to present this award to Dr. Thomas L. Ahman of Lima, Ohio. Prior recipients include: Dr. John F. Buzzatto (2011), Dr. Terry Pracht (2006), Dr. John Lindquist (2000), Dr. Dale Wade (1997), Dr. David Hamilton (1996).
This award will be presented to Dr. Ahman during the GLAO/MASO Annual Session at the Arizona Biltmore in Phoenix, Arizona on Friday morning, September 23, during the doctors programming. Please plan to join us in recognizing Dr. Ahman for his contributions to the GLAO and the orthodontic profession!

2016 GLAO Distinguished Service Award to be presented to Dr. Eugene L. Dellinger
The GLAO Distinguished Service Award recognizes a GLAO member who has served the Association in various capacities through the years in an exemplary manner. The Great Lakes Association of Orthodontists is proud to present this year's award to Dr. Eugene L. Dellinger of Fort Wayne, Indiana. This award is presented in recognition and grateful appreciation for his contributions - both to the GLAO as an organization, and to the orthodontic profession in general. His efforts are deeply appreciated by his GLAO friends and colleagues. This award will be presented to Dr. Dellinger during the GLAO Business Meeting at the GLAO/MASO Annual Session on Friday, September 23, from 1:00p-2:00pm at the Arizona Biltmore in Phoenix, Arizona. GLAO B. Holly Broadbent, Sr. Memorial Lecture to be Presented by Dr. W. Eugene Roberts
Dr. W. Eugene Roberts will present the GLAO B. Holly Broadbent, Sr. Memorial Lecture at the 2016 GLAO/MASO Annual Session. His lecture:"Biomechanics: Opening the Biologic Black Box" will be presented on Saturday, September 24, 10:00am-Noon at the Arizona Biltmore. This Memorial lecture was established by the GLAO to honor one of its greatest members. The lecture is to be a meritorious essay on original research related to the field of orthodontics and is awarded to an individual who has contributed widely to the art and science of orthodontics. The lecture shall be previously unpublished and suitable for publication in the American Journal of Orthodontics and must be an original article although based on the author's previously published works. We look forward to Dr. Roberts' lecture!
